Athlete Movement Manual

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]This manual was from the Combine 360 (then renamed Ignite 360) program. Although the program closed down 3-1-16, the information is still very relevant to today’s coaches and athletes.

Athletic Movement is much more than simply memorizing exciting drills and exercises. It is about the never ending pursuit of the knowledge and understanding of how the body truly functions and how we as Trainers can continue to push the limits to make it function better.

Training goes well beyond the simple progression of strength, endurance and flexibility and takes the athlete to the next level. By developing the specific movement skills and energy systems necessary for their sport as well as enhancing the crucial secondary fitness characteristics that many training programs often ignore such as balance, reaction skills, and stability, the athlete improves all aspects of Athletic Movement. These are the keys to developing and improving the Athletic Engine and specific sport skills.
